Faith Covenant Church is a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, a denomination of more than 700 churches in the United States and Canada, and the Midwest Covenant Conference. The Evangelical Covenant Church was founded by Swedish immigrants in 1885. Covenant churches emphasize a biblical faith in Jesus Christ expressed in a day to day walk with the Lord.

The Evangelical Covenant Church operates North Park University and Theological Seminary in Chicago; Centro Hispano De Estudios Teologicos in Bell Gardens, California; and Covenant Bible College with campuses in Strathmore, Alberta; Windsor, Colorado; and Quito, Ecuador.

The Evangelical Covenant Church has missionary outreach in:
